Well, my daughter is a college freshman. Ha...I feel so old! Yesterday we got up and hit the road at 7:30. Moving her in was seamless and the school had a full day of activities for the parents and the incoming freshman. I managed to hold back tears until we were in the car on the way home and last night when I walked past her empty room they started again. I am so proud of her but of course I'm still in shock that my baby is gone!
I didn't really have the energy to put together "a look". I grabbed this h&m dress, a necklace and my favorite shoes and it was out the door. I love the shades of blues and greens and the flutter sleeves in this dress.
I'm exhausted and looking forward to doing a whole lot of nothing this weekend:)

  1. Hi. I found your blog through Avid Accents feature today. Great blog. I love your patterned pieces both vintage and from Anthro.
I'm a fan and will be tuned in.

  3. I love the cut and colors of this dress! You look gorgeous in it too. I wish I could just pull pieces together like you do, I usually agonize in front of my closet driving my BF crazy.

  6. You look beautiful. That dress is fantastic on you.

My baby girl is only three and I'd love to homeschool her...mainly because I don't want to see her go away even for a few hours at school! Even though I work full time. Meh.

She'll probably call you a lot more often wanting your advice now that she's farther away!

  9. Seriously? That's an H&M dress? It looks much more expensive. Congrats to your girl...this is the beginning of the rest of her life. She'll have a great time in college. I sure did and miss it so much.

  10. I am so glad that the move-in process went smoothly. I think I actually became much closer to my mother while I was 3,000 miles away at college. It allowed me to really appreciate our relationship all the more!

And you look lovely in this dress. I would never have imagined that this was a "thrown together" look!
